Congressional App Challenge

The Congressional App Challenge Code at Home Initiative is open to all middle and high school students in the 11th Congressional District, and will enable students to continue learning more about STREAM fields outside of the classroom.

It was officially launched by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015.  This nationwide effort allows students to compete against their peers by creating an application for any digital platform utilizing any programming language, e.g. C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or block code.  The Challenge is designed to promote innovation and engagement in computer science.

To participate in the competition, middle and/or high school students can register and submit their completed app at by October 19, 2020.  The winning app will be eligible for a feature in the Capitol Building and showcased on, in addition to other great prizes!

Congresswoman Fudge is looking forward to receiving your entries. Let your imagination soar!
